A Formal Invite to Spend Friday the 13th With Moi :)

Well, not in person, but via the interwebs ;)

How? See below:

My sister-in-law Shannon recently heard about a company called Paparazzi, which has independent consultants throughout the U.S. selling fabulous (and AFFORDABLE) jewelry & accessories for just $5 each (plus tax & shipping).

After being unable to find a consultant in her town, she figured she might as well sign up herself. After just a couple months, she's hooked and has been hosting events on and offline nearly non-stop. I've attended several of the online events (she lives in Missouri) and have bought a ton of cute stuff, here's some of it:

I knew it was only a matter of time before I caved and decided to host my own online party. After all, I get a free piece of jewelry just for having the party and can earn more on top of it depending on how much people buy :)

***Side Note*** If you've been reading this blog for any amount of time, you probably know that I can't turn down anything free ;) ***End of Side Note***

Now, I am a serious direct sales company skeptic. I know people who have had fun & made money selling products, but I also know there are shady companies out there and people who annoy their friends and family to no end about buying from them. Shannon was not one of these people - she made it clear what she is doing and that she'd be happy to answer questions about the company... and left it at that. This made me feel a lot more open about asking questions and testing the waters since I wasn't afraid she'd pounce on me and give me the hard sell about hosting a party or becoming a consultant.

While she was here for Thanksgiving, I got to see her use the internal company website to purchase items and understood a little better how parties work and what it is like to be a consultant. After she left, I did a lot more research on my own and went to a couple more of her online parties and became about 99% sure that I want to jump on board as well.

BUT

First I'm going to host the party on Friday JUST to make that lingering 1% sure that I want to take the plunge.

***Side Note*** Oh-so-fitting that for a horror lover like me it is on Friday the 13th ;) ***End of Side Note***

I've invited people via Facebook, but figured it wouldn't hurt to invite people over the blog as well. If you are interested in attending the online party (it is done over Facebook), click here for the link to the event page.

Just to clarify how the whole thing actually works, here's my description from the event page:

Hey ladies! I've invited several of my Facebook friends to join me for a $5 jewelry party next Friday hosted by me, but run by my sister-in-law Shannon.

Shannon has been selling Paparazzi jewelry for a few months now, and has taken Facebook by storm with these online events

Here's how it goes - at 6:30 PST next Friday night (the 13!), Shannon will post pictures of jewelry on this event board. If you want to purchase the item, you just comment "sold" under the pic. First person who comments has dibs on that item.

The best part is all the jewelry is just $5 each! We're talking cute stuff, and some necklaces even come with earrings - so that's two pieces for $5!!!

You will also pay tax (it's the law) and a flat $4 for shipping (that's for everything you buy, not per item).

Shannon will send invoices ASAP so she can mail out purchases no later than Monday, December 16 so you can receive your goodies in time for Christmas.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hope to see you there!

Kate

I'm really excited! I think this is a really fun opportunity and I'm happy to share such great deals on cute accessories with my friends and family!
